Nigeria faces an issue with the availability of electricity to which ICS Power Alaoji Gas-Fired Power Plant seems like a solution. The ICS Power Alaoji Gas-Fired Power Plant[1] will be established in Abia, Nigeria by 2024 as the construction will begin in 2022. The power plant is a 624 MW gas-fired project developed by ICS power and owned by China Energy Engineering and ICS Power with an ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively. The hydroelectricity power station and thermal stations are the two main source of power in Nigeria and all the power department is operated by PHCN which is split into 18 successor companies comprising six Generation companies, eleven Distribution Companies, and one Transmission Company in 2005. Of the parts of PHCN, TCN is the only company governed by the government of Nigeria rest all the companies are partially privatised.
