Alberto Venzago

Alberto Venzago (born 10. Februar 1950 Zürich in Switzerland) is ein international photographer, photojournalist und Filmmaker.[1]

Venzagos photo-reportages as a concerned photographer on subjects ranging from organised crime in Japan to the revolution in Iran received International recognition and were published in magazines such as Life, The Sunday Times, Stern and Geo. With his captivating photo essays and films, he critically documents world events and tells moving stories: from Zurich's Platzspitz to the voodoo cult of Benin to child prostitution in Manila. Although photojournalism makes up a large part of his career, Alberto Venzago also works on other projects ranging between film and photography, art and commerce. He is known for his curated images that international brands use as advertising campaigns or that portray world-famous stars.

He also worked for four years for the Magnum photo agency. His dedicated work has won several prizes, such as the Robert Capa Award.[3]
