AlchemyWorks Ltd[1] is a privately held project management application service provider based in Arlesey, United Kingdom. AlchemyWorks was founded in 2015 by entrepreneur Barry Fairburn with the intention of creating a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that would be highly scalable, have a strong security underpinning, allow multiple adaptive user interfaces and multiple database back-ends that could be configured in a range of resilient modes including continuous availability.

Software[edit]

AlchemyWorks Projects[2] was released in 2017 based on the AlchemyWorks platform. It is a hierarchical project planning and scheduling system, with dynamic and static scheduling of projects and tasks based on priority, time constraints and other dependencies. Features include a versioning document management system, risk and change management, security marking and protection of objects, calendar and collaboration elements. The application is adaptable to mobile devices, although a specific front end for Android[3] is available on Google Play.

Recognition and Awards[edit]

AlchemyWorks Projects was awarded Rising Star and Great User Experience awards by Finances Online[4] in 2017. A Girls Guide to Project Management[5] reviewed in February 2018 and remarked "It's so good to see a tool that is constantly updated and that is taking on board user feedback to make enhancements. It makes you feel supported to know that the team is really listening and actively working on improving the product, and if the functionality comes at the same speed as it has done in the last few months, we'll see this tool improve even more in the year to come."
