Alec Hudnut (born December 6, 1963) is an American entrepreneur and management consultant. He is the managing partner at Vici Partners.[1]

Early life and education

Hudnut was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar and elected to Phi Beta Kappa.[2] He later obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School.[3]

Career

Hudnut began his career at Goldman Sachs and later joined McKinsey & Company, where he worked on operational projects in the oil, gas, and banking sectors.[3][2]

In 1996, he served as chief executive officer of University Access, a company focused on online education. In 2000, the Smithsonian Institution recognized his work on one of the first e-learning courses.[4][5]

Hudnut then led Evolution Robotics, working on visual recognition and autonomous navigation technologies. Under his leadership, the company developed a scanner system for retail environments.[6][3][2]

He later worked at Green Dot Corporation as general manager of its prepaid card division.[3]

Since 2013, Hudnut has served as managing partner at Vici Partners.[4][7] He has participated in media interviews and discussions related to corporate consulting and organizational performance.[8][9]

He has also served as chair of the board of trustees at Polytechnic School in Pasadena, California.[10]

In 2023, Hudnut was featured in Exeleon Magazine's "Transformational Business Leaders of 2023".[11]
