Alejandra Andreu Santamarta is an Spanish journalist, model and the winner of the Miss International 2008 pageant. She has primarily worked in Spanish television programs, known for La fiera de mi niña (2008–2009), José Mota presenta... (2018), Se acabó lo que se daba (2019) and Hoy no, mañana (2019)

Early life[edit]

Andreu was born in Zaragoza on February 25, 1990. She obtained her bachelor's degree in journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid. She is fluent of English and Spanish.

Miss Spain 2008[edit]

She won the Miss Zaragoza 2007 title since at 17 years old and represented that city at Miss España 2008 where she placed as 2nd runner-up. Being as the 3rd classified, Andreu was gave a chance the opportunity to represented her country in Miss International 2008.

Miss International 2008[edit]

Andreu was crowned Miss International 2008 by her predecessor Priscila Perales of Mexico, held in the Venetian Macao in Macau on November 8, 2008, and also won the special award of Miss Photogenic at this pageant. Andreu's victory marks the third Miss International crown for Spain. Other winners were Pilar Medina (1977) and Silvia de Esteban (1990). It is also the first "Grand Slam" beauty title for Spain since 1990. Andreu also became one of the youngest winners in Miss International history when she was 18 at the coronation moment.

As journalist[edit]

She signed up for collaborated as a reporter in the magazine La fiera de mi Niña on the Zaragoza television network La General Televisión in 2009 and has also made her first steps as a presenter at various events. During his year of reign he combined the acts derived from this, his work as a model, and also journalism studies.

In addition, in 2010 he signed a contract with the CDTV-1 television network. For the first time a Spanish woman has had her own space on Chinese television. He also hosted a weekly show for the network, so he traveled to China for ten days a month to record those shows. In this same year it would be the promotional image of the city of Chengdu.

In 2010 he also presented the program Vuestra tele en Aragón TV where he enlivened Sunday afternoons with an entertaining tour of the big headlines of the week through the best interventions of the network's reporters, presenters and collaborators.

In 2011 she worked at TBC in Tokyo and continued working in Shanghai and Tokyo as a model. In addition, he presented, together with Álex Casademunt, the Sensational Night program on 13TV.

Since May 2014 he has collaborated in the humor program Los Tele Types, on Telemadrid, together with Federico de Juan, Luis Ignacio González and Javier Quero. In 2017, she began to collaborate as a reporter in the program Sálvame and in El acabose with José Mota.
