Alejandro Jomar Ramirez, known professionally as Alejandro Jomar (born 1998), is a Puerto Rican-American singer, songwriter, record producer, professional model, and fashion designer. He was born in Oceanside, New York, at South Nassau Communities Hospital, and was raised in Freeport, New York for the majority of his life.[1] Alejandro is the current creative director of menswear brand GIORGENTI New York. In the fashion industry, he has modeled for many fashion brands, such as Kilian Hennessy, MONFRÉRE Fashion, Members Only (fashion brand).[2] He currently release music under the Propaganda ENT. label. His debut project, "Trap-Fi", release digitally on June 25th, 2020.[3]

1998–2008: Early life[edit]

Alejandro Jomar was born at South Nassau Communities Hospital on January 7th, 1998. His mother and father are Puerto Rican, and raised him in Freeport, New York. Alejandro's biggest influence for music was his older brother, who introduced him to the Graduation (album) by Kanye West at a very young age. He soon began listening to music religiously, and took inspiration from from a plethora of Hip hop, Contemporary R&B, Reggaeton, and Dancehall artists.

2010–2016: Career beginnings in fashion in modeling[edit]

Alejandro discovered his interest in Fashion Design while he was attending middle school. He found an importance in the way he dressed, as he wished for respect from his peers, and decided to change his personal image. Due to his humble beginnings, he had to use what he had, as he was not able to afford new clothes. Alejandro began familiarizing himself with styling and sewing. Alejandro began studying various independent fashion blogs, as well as sewing together many of his old garments to create new garments. This would earn him notoriety, and inspired him to begin a fashion blog himself on the blogging platform Tumblr. Alejandro simultaneously began selling custom garments for his peers, while blogging and attempting on making an image for himself.

In his Sophomore year at Freeport High School, Alejandro expressed a deeper interest in menswear and suiting. He began studying suiting and dressing accordingly. Alejandro stated that this helped improve his image, and made him appear more mature to his peers, his instructors, and women. Alejandro then began taking courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology while still attending Freeport High School.

In 2016, Alejandro began interning for GIORGENTI New York, a luxury suiting company. He would later be hired by the company as Creative Director. Alejandro was also cast in a Horror film, titled Choke, as an actor.

2017–Present: Music career beginnings and continuing in the fashion industry[edit]

Alejandro began fashion influencing in 2017, beginning with a blog on the social network Instagram. After Alejandro had amassed a following, he began working with many fashion and luxury brands. He would be assigned modeling jobs and was asked by the brands for promotion on his social media platforms. Alejandro began attending photo-shoots with other fashion influencers and fashion models. Alejandro also began taking music production, creating instrumentals religiously. Alejandro began using his music for visual lookbooks for his blog, and for GIORGENTI New York's social media.

In 2018, Alejandro dropped out of Nassau Community College, as he was promised to become a business partner in GIORGENTI New York.

Alejandro began working on the majority of his debut music project, Trap-Fi in December of 2019, though the instrumental to his song The Day After was created in 2017. Alejandro later decided to use this instrumental due to the emotional impact it had on him. He states it was made 3 years and 1 day after his suicide attempt.

Alejandro began displaying early early symptoms of COVID-19 in February of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. He continued the recording of Trap-Fi regardless of his illness, and he explains the majority of the music project was recorded while he was ill.
