Alena Vladislavovna Raeva (Russian: Алёна Владиславовна Раева, born 28 October 1993 in Krasnoyarsk)[2] is a Russian professional model and beauty contests participant. She won 2016 Face of Beauty International model contest.[3]
Life and career[edit]
Alena graduated from No. 12 High School in 2012. According to her statements, she often heard insults from her classmates related to her appearance and face.[4] Alena's first contest participation was in 2011 at Miss Globe International: she applied for participation via local model agency. In 2015 she entered Saint-Petersburg Humanities Universities of Trade Unions to study journalistics. She worked at the Afontovo local TV channel as a host of TV show related to beauty, sports and health. Her hobbies are visual art, design and taking photos.[5]
In 2016 Alena reached the Top 15 of Miss Eco Universe contest in Egypt[6][7] and got the right for participation in Face of Beauty International beauty contest, which took part in Mongolia from 27 September to 9 October. Models from 60 countries were the participants.[8][9] Alena won the contest and was crowned as Face of Beauty International; also she got Special Award as Best in Interview.[10] Another Russian contestant from Krasnoyarsk, Lyubov Kisterskaya, won the Miss Friendship Award.[11] The jury panel included Ukrainian model Valeria Lukyanova.[12][13] According to Alena's words, national dress was made by her and Alena's mother.[14]
In 2017 Alena took part in World Miss Tourism Ambassador beauty contest, reached the Top 15 after swimsuit stage[15] and won Miss Tourism Ambassador Europe award[16][17] (another Russian model, Talliya Aibedullina from Kazan, was crowned as World Miss Tourism Ambassador).[18][19]
