Alessandro Mallamaci is an Italian photographer.[1] He specializes in portrait photography and landscape photography and has been a Leica ambassador since 2016. He is an EIZO Testimonial and he also was a Fujifilm ambassador in the past. He regularly publishes his works on newspapers and magazines.[2][self-published source] and holds conferences both online and in person for festivals of photography, Academies of Arts,[3] etc.

Early life and education

Mallamaci was born in April 1980 in Reggio Calabria, Italy. He graduated in Disciplines of Arts, Music and Spectacle. After graduation, he worked as a graphic and web designer and afterwards, as a photographer.

Career

Expert in fine art printing, he is a founding member of Il cerchio dell'immagine[4] - and Corsobasedifotografia.it.[5][6][not in citation given]

Member of Tau Visual, Associazione Nazionale Fotografi Professionisti,[7] he regularly publishes his works on newspapers and magazines.

He curated the exhibition 'Malta 2018' at Leica Galerie Milano, a project realised in collaboration with Malta Tourism Authority.[8] In 2018 he also exhibited his photos at the Corigliano Calabro Fotografia Festival.[9]

He was a scientific consultant for the TV show Master of Photography (Sky Arts) in 2017 and 2018.

In 2015 he exhibited his photos at "Centro Italiano della Fotografia d'Autore". He has collaborated on Miss Italy in 2011.

He published the book "I tamburi della Sila, Costruttori e suonatori dei Casali cosentini" in 2006.[10]
