Alex Bailey
Alex Bailey (born 1994/1995) is a Canadian filmmaker and producer.[1] known for the documentary Êmîcêtôcêt: Many Bloodlines.
Her work was selected as a Toronto International Film Festival Top 10 in 2020,[2] won HotDocs best Canadian short docs in 2020[3] and nominated for a Canadian screen award in 2021.[4] Bailey is also an advocate for female filmmakers and credits TIFF with nurturing her career.[1]
In 2023 she directed *You've been posted* for VeraCity, a special about intimate photos being posted online without consent.
She began her filmmaking journey at 14, winning top prize at TIFF's Jump Cuts Film Festival.[1]
