Alex Eroadster

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Alex Eroadster is a two-seater electric car which is being designed and is expected to be built in Ireland by Fintos Electric Cars. It is designed to be lightweight, with the chassis being designed by a specialist composite chassis designer in Denmark. The body panels are also planned to be made from advanced composites, according to the manufacturers.[1]

The car is intended to be driven by two axial flux motors driving the rear wheels. The motors are designed be powered by Litium-ion battery modules stored in a compartment underneath the floor of the car. Top speed is intended to be in the range 130-135 km/h, with an expected range of 500 km.[2]

It is intended to feature a combined roof and door canopy.[3] The manufacturers say that it saves a lot of weight by use of lightweight materials including its integrated carbon fibre chassis. A prototype is planned to be available in mid-2018 with the first car going on sale in late 2018 or early 2019.[4]
