From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Alex Tanikie-Montagnani (born June 12, 1988, Streatham, South West London, UK) is a professional MMA fighter and actor.[1] Born to parents active in the world of martial arts, he began training in judo and boxing at the age of four and eventually became a judo black belt in March 2009.[2][3] Due to his physical and athletic capabilities, he took up several other sports such as rugby and athletics.[4]

Montagnani took up Brazilian jiu-jitsu at the age of 17, which facilitated his transition into professional MMA. Fighting on some of the most well renowned martial art shows in Europe such as BAMMA and Cage Warriors, he also won the Fury welterweight title.[5][6][7] He also exclusively signed with Contenders MMA in 2020.[8]

Montagnani began acting in 2014 when he was headhunted for a small role in short film Cagefighter, written and directed by Jesse Quinones. He originally joined the production team as head fight choreographer in the feature-length production of the same film, renamed Cagefighter: Worlds Collide, also written and directed by Jesse Quinones, but was later recast as the lead, playing the role of Reiss Gibbons, replacing Josh Herdman.[9] [10] He starred alongside Gina Gershon, Jonathan Good, Jay Reso, Chuck Liddell, Luke Rockhold and Elijah Baker.[11] The film was originally scheduled for a limited theatrical release, but this changed after movie theatres closed worldwide due to restrictions stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.[12] The film was streamed as an online premier event, showing for 48hours on demand, exclusively on FITE TV on May 16, 2020 to positive reviews.[13][14]
