Alexander Kabakov
Alexander Kabakov (Russian: Кабаков Александр Владимирович; born 8 April 1987) is a Russian businessman, investor, and media manager. He is the co-founder of Agency One and NtechLab[1][2] and Managing Partner of Typhoon Digital Development venture fund.
Early life[edit]
Kabakov was born to a family of Soviet scientists. He graduated from the School of Philosophy at Moscow State University with a degree in Political Science and Political Management and Public Relations.
Career[edit]
In 2006, Kabakov started working at Newmedia Stars. In 2010, co-founded Agency One, a digital communications agency with its clients including Russian Railways, VTB Bank, PJSC Aeroflot, and others. The agency served Mikhail Prokhorov’s online campaign as a presidential candidate during the Russian presidential elections in 2012. Since 2011, he has been an investor and mentor for the YouDo.com service, which won the Runet 2012 Award.
From late 2013 to 2016Б[3], Alexander Kabakov was a Managing Partner of the Typhoon Digital Development venture fund[4].
In 2015, he co-founded NtechLab, a company specializing in neural network solutions. NtechLab is known for its FindFace[5] face recognition technology and a line of solutions for the state and various business[6] sectors based on FindFace algorithm. Previously, the technology was used as a web service that helped to find people on the VK social network using their photos. The company's algorithms have repeatedly proven to be among world’s best in representative international challenges and ratings.[7][8]
In 2017 and 2018, he served as Vice President for Special Projects at Mail.ru Group.
In December 2021, resigned from the board of directors of NtechLab.
