Australia

Algeria and Australia established diplomatic relations upon the independence of Algeria in 1962.

Algeria has an embassy in Canberra while Australia has a non resident ambassador in Paris, France. Prior to 1991, Australia had a resident embassy and ambassador in the capital since 1976, Algiers, which closed due to budget reasons.
