Alhan Gencay (born 4 March 1999 in Enfield, London) is a British actor, producer and director. He is also the founder of the online YouTube comedy channel “omg” which partnered with Base79 and Simon Cowell's Syco.

Life and education[edit]

Alhan Gencay was born in Enfield, into a family who are originally from Turkey. He grew up in Winchmore Hill, North London. He attended Oakthorpe school for primary education and then went on to boarding school St. Edmund's College in Ware, Hertfordshire. Gencay is currently working towards a M.A. degree.

Career[edit]

Gencay's public career started in 2006 when he starred in the EastEnders Christmas Special.[1] Since then he has founded online YouTube comedy network “omg” which is releasing a brand new urban comedy series, 'Roadman'. Gencay has produced content for websites including CollegeHumor, SB.TV, Don't Flop,[2] Base79, The You Generation.

Controversy[edit]

Megaphoning[edit]

During an event at the Liberal Catholic Church, Gencay was fined for shouting "the Pope is a cat-a-holic" through a megaphone while wearing a shirt with a picture of a dead cat.

At a Toby Turner gathering in Hyde Park, London, Gencay shouted through his megaphone for people to chase innocent cyclists that were passing through the park.[3]
