Kate Allan (born 1975) is British historical romance novelist.

Allan was educated at the all-girls' Bedford High School and Repton School where she was a contemporary of actors Tom Chambers and Nicholas Burns. In 1997 she graduated from the University of York with a BA in history.[1] She is member of the Romantic Novelists Association,[2] the Historical Novel Society, the Society of Authors, and Verulam Writers' Circle.

She was shortlisted for the 2005 Joan Hessayon New Writers Award.[3] She is co-author of The Lady Soldier by Jennifer Lindsay.
