Ali Sharifi Zarchi (Persian: علی شریفیزارچی) is a fired[1] assistant professor of Mathematical Bioinformatics, Faculty of Computer Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, and the head of the scientific committee of the World Computer Olympiad.[2] Sharifi Zarchi was a member of Iran's national student team in the 2000 World Computer Olympiad and won a gold medal.[3] He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in computer engineering from Sharif University of Technology and a doctorate in bioinformatics from Tehran University.[3][4]
