Ali Zarzour
Ali Zarzour (born 1977) is a Dubai-based executive and entrepreneur. He is the managing director of Health Information Exchange[1] and a professor of Public Health and Community Medicine.[2][where?]
Early life
Zarzour comes from a family that was known in the 1950s for its leadership in financial services and manufacturing, and had manufactured for brands like Hoover, Jordan and Wilkinson.
In addition to his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2006 Zarzour received an MBA degree from the University of Warwick in Coventry, UK. In 2011, he received his PhD in healthcare management from the University of Manchester.
Career
Zarzour founded Vertscape, a company providing enterprise relationship management software. He then served as a healthcare industry manager at Microsoft.
After serving as vice president and general manager of Middle East operations for the healthcare technology company Eclipsys,[3][4][5] Zarzour went on to serve as Orion Health's general manager for the Middle East and Africa.[6]
He left Orion to start his business, Health Information Exchange, a data collection and internet portals company.
