Mazoon al-Da'wat[3][4] Shahzada[2] Ali Asgar Kalimuddin (Arabic: علي اصغر كليم الدين) is a son of 51st Dai al-Mutlaq Taher Saifuddin.[5] He served as Mukasir al-Dawat[6][7] and is the present Mazoon al-Dawat to the incumbent 53rd Dai al-Mutlaq, Mufaddal Saifuddin.[3] He was appointed as one of the rectors of Al Jamea tus Saifiyah in 2018.
Personal life[edit]
Aliasgar was born on 4 April 1933 (9 Dhu al-Hijjah 1351 Hijri on the Day of Arafah) to Taher Saifuddin.[5]
Education[edit]
Kalimuddin received education under the tutelage of his father Taher Saifuddin and his brother Mohammed Burhanuddin.[citation needed]
Kalimuddin did M.A. in Deeni Education.[citation needed]
Career[edit]
Kalimuddin was conferred the title of Shaykh (Arabic: الشيخ, lit. 'leader'), and bestowed the laqab of Kalimuddin (Arabic: كليم الدين) by his father, Taher Saifuddin.[3]
At the age of 18, Kalimuddin started conducting sabaqs (lit. teachings) and delivering religious discourses for the Dawoodi Bohra community.[3][8]
Kalimuddin is the president of Burhani Education Society and Burhani College.[8]
Kalimuddin has served the Alvazratus Saifiyah during the tenure of Taher Saifuddin and also served since the establishment of Al Madrasa Saifiyah Burhaniyah (MSB) during the tenure of Mohammed Burhanuddin.[3]
Kalimuddin had conducted Ashara Mubaraka sermons in Ujjain, Mumbai, Karachi, Colombo, Dubai[citation needed] and Kuwait[9].
On 20 Rabi al-Thani 1439H (8 January 2018), Kalimuddin was appointed in the position of Mukasir by the 53rd Dai al-Mutlaq, Mufaddal Saifuddin in Surat and three months later 20 Rajab (5 April 2018) he was appointed as one of the rector of Al Jamea Tus Saifiyah[3]
Since 2018, Kalimuddin is the special representative of Dai al Mutlaq (Mufaddal Saifuddin) in Mumbai.[3]
Kalimuddin has led Hajj Pilgrimage known as Amirul Hajj for 7 times in the past the last one was being in 2014.[3]
Kalimuddin had oversees the projects of Raudat Tahera construction, Saifee Hospital and MSB worldwide.[3]
On 27 Jumada al-Thani 1440H (4 March 2019), Kalimuddin was appointed in the position of Mazoon by the 53rd Dai al-Mutlaq, Mufaddal Saifuddin in Ahmedabad.[3]
Recognition[edit]
Reunion - On July 16 2019, in the municipal council hall, Kalimuddin was decorated with the Key of the City of La Possession.[10]
