Alisha Anand holds a pre-eminent position in one of India’s largest Radio Networks, 94.3 Radio One, where she hosts the show by the name of ‘Weekend Brunch’. She is known for being a music fanatic who can play international music from the 50s to the latest tracks of all genres. Her association with radio is over a decade old, and she is one of the most well-known voices in Delhi. She has also been awarded the Most Fashionable RJ of Delhi in 2010. She is also a General Manager at TSD Corp, handling client solutions and programming. TSD Corp is a digital identity management company.
Early life
Alisha was born in New Delhi. Her family has a jewelry business, and she is the second of their four children. She completed her schooling from Father Agnel’s School, New Delhi, and pursued her bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Amity University, Noida.
Career
Alisha started her career with NDTV and Headlines Today. In 2006, she joined Dainik Jagran Radio Mantra as a radio show presenter. In 2007, she joined 94.3FM Radio One where she hosted morning, afternoon, and evening prime time shows. She is one of the few Radio hosts in Delhi to host Hindi and English shows. Apart from this, she was also a Music Manager and executive producer for the channel. Currently, she hosts ‘Weekend Brunch’ on Radio One, where she invites famous chefs and restaurateurs from across the world, such as MasterChef Australia’s Sarah Todd, Rishi Desai, and season 6 winner Brent Owens, Vikas Khanna, Saransh Goila, Manish Mehrotra, and many more. She has also done radio shows with Bollywood celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sunny Leone, Anushka Sharma, and others. Apart from the above, she has done shows with other famous celebrities from different fields like music, fashion, arts and culture, technology, etc.
Apart from being a Radio host, she is also a digital host. She has been a part of different web series online. She has hosted a Google Hangout with Bollywood actor Salman Khan where he interacted with his chosen most *Dabangg* fans. She has also hosted a show for Motorola where she launched India's first crowd-sourced song on Father's Day and World Music Day. Currently, she is hosting a cricket web series called Friday Hangout with former Indian cricketer Lalchand Rajput on the ongoing Gandhi Mandela Series.
She is also an emcee and has hosted many live events. Currently, she will be hosting various shows for the 9th edition of the Delhi International Arts Festival.
Personal life
Alisha is an avid traveler and has travelled to most places in India and outside of India. Apart from that, she loves to get lost in Music; her music track rolls from 1950 to current trends – Jazz, Rock and Roll, Hip Pop, etc. She also loves experimenting with new foods and tastes.
