All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jammu
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jammu (AIIMS Jammu) is an under construction medical research public university and nursing college located in Vijay Pur, Samba district, Jammu. As one of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, it will be operated autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. AIIMS Jammu once complete will be a 750-bed super specialty green hospital. Construction is under the Central Public Works Department and is expected to be complete by 2023.[1][2]
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of AIIMS Jammu on 3 February 2019.[1]

On 11 January 2020, the Cabinet of India allocated ₹4,684 crore (US$650 million) under the Prime Minister's Development Package and Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) scheme for the construction of two AIIMS in Jammu and Kashmir.[3] AIIMS Jammu is expected to cost ₹1,661 crore (US$230 million).[1] Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd is responsible for construction of the first phase of the hospital.[4]
