Allec Joshua Ibay (born January 3, 1998), is a Filipino YouTuber and gaming personality known for recreating air disasters using the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.[1] As of April 2020, his YouTube channel has 214,000 subscribers.[2]
Career
Ibay started his YouTube channel in May 8, 2009.[2] He mostly uses the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 to recreate air disasters using both clever planning and footages from Mayday. His notable recreations include the Tenerife Airport disaster in 1977, Pan Am Flight 103, also known as the Lockerbie bombing in 1988 and the crash of Delta Air Lines Flight 191 in 1985.[3] His videos before 2017 are uploaded in 720p, while his current videos are uploaded in 1440p.
Death
On July 24th, 2025 around 6:00 A.M. Philippines time, Allec had gotten involved in a vehicular accident. He was driving but then his vehicle had crashed into an LRT-2 post along Marcos Highway in Pasig City. He was found dead past 7:00 A.M. but witnesses had reported the incident occurring shortly before 6:00 A.M.[4]
He was driving a gray Honda City with the license plate XGR 487 on it, and the car had slammed into a concrete pillar supporting the LRT-2 rail line. Emergency responders had found him still in the driver's seat as the front of the vehicle was completely wrecked, along with severe damage to the left side of it as well, making retrieval efforts very difficult for rescuers. His identification card (ID) was found inside the car, and his family got notified about the accident.
Inside his car was his beloved dog Cherry, who had managed to survive the accident, though Allec's family is worried that the dog's hind legs might be fractured because of the accident. His sister-in-law Kobe had posted on his YouTube account around July 26th, 2025 Philippine time about his death, announcing that his wake had started on July 25th and will be until Sunday, 27th of July, where he will then be cremated around 4 P.M. Philippine time.[5]
She also gave a link to her husband's PayPal for international viewers to donate to along with her husband's GCash for local viewers as well in order to help pay for the funeral cost, with the rest of the donations going to Allec's dog Cherry's check up with the veterinarian and Allec's Aunt Aileen who is currently in the hospital due to not being able to stand up in the morning and having been in pain for several weeks, ending up in an ICU getting tests after tests for a diagnosis.
Police, firefighters, medical personnel, and members of the Pasig Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) remained at the scene to secure the area and continue recovery efforts.
