Alliye
Alliye, born on October 23, 1986, in Caxias, Brazil, is a singer, songwriter and independent music producer.
Career
Alliye debuted with the album release of Maritima in 2011. In addition to the nine songs composed by Aline De Lima, a cover of the poem "Cri du Coeur" by Jacques Prévert and Henri Crolla, was included to commemorate Édith Piaf.
In 2010, she founded her own label named Arrebol Music, in reference to her first original song, "Arrebol" (meaning "Dawn") written when she arrived in Paris in 2002, where she stayed for a decade and where she started her career in 2005. Alliye had a first record deal with a French label, but all her two first releases were removed from all digital stores and streaming services. Currently, Alliye's discography is composed of her independent album, "Maritima", and a series of new singles launched in October 2018 by her own label.
Alliye became her own manager, returned to her country and restarted her music career in São Paulo, reinventing herself as a music artist in the new digital age. After being an album artist who toured in more than ten countries during her first record deal with a French label, her career development was affected by the economic crisis in the music industry since 2009. Almost ten years later, Alliye continues performing live around Brazil, making duets with Brazilian emerging artists like Walmir Borges and opening for renowned samba artists such as the singer Alcione.
In October 2018, Alliye launched a series of original songs that have accompanying videos on Alliye's official music channel on YouTube. This is a modern platform for developing an audience in her own country.
