Allwyn AG is a multinational lottery company headquartered in Lucerne, Switzerland. It offers lottery and gaming services across several European countries and the United States. The company is majority-owned by KKCG Group AG, a Swiss-based investment firm.
History
Allwyn, formerly known as Sazka Group and Sazka Entertainment, is a European lottery operator controlled by Czech billionaire Karel Komárek. The company manages national lotteries in Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, and Cyprus, and has recently expanded into the UK and Illinois markets
On 1 October 2024, Allwyn relocated its headquarters from the Czech Republic to Switzerland and was re-registered as Allwyn International AG, based in Lucerne. During this restructuring, the company transferred €500 million of 3.875% senior secured notes due 2027 to Allwyn Entertainment Financing (UK) Plc, which serves as the issuer and borrower for several of Allwyn’s bonds and loans. Allwyn International AG acts as guarantor for these notes in accordance with the company’s intercreditor agreement.[1]
