Almost Ready Records is an American Independent record label and record store based in Brooklyn, New York and Montclair, New Jersey. [1][1] The label was founded in 2007 in Brooklyn by Harry Howes.[2][3] The label opened their first record store in 2017 located in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, New York.[3][4] A second record store location opened in late 2022 in Montclair, New Jersey.[5][6] Almost Ready Records also owns and is the parent label for Last Laugh and Mighty Mouth Music, distributing releases for both.[7][2][8][9] The labels have released a variety of artists such as: The Normals, Nobunny, The Hunches, The Dogs, The Mentally Ill, Ravi Shavi, Cheater Slicks, The Incredible Kidda Band, The Embarrassment, and Big Dipper.[7][10] [11] [12] [13] [4] [9][8][14][15][13]

The label & store name is derived from the 1978 song, "Almost Ready" by New Orleans Punk band, The Normals.[2][9]
