In June 2019, the company released a sentiment analysis tool that analyzed documents to determine the tenor of their language.[7]

In July, the company raised $50 million in a Series B, led by Innovation Endeavors, a venture capital firm backed by Google's former CEO Eric Schmidt.[2]

Products[edit]

AlphaSense develops a market intelligence search engine using artificial intelligence to sort and analyze public and private financial data.[1] It gives its clients access to a variety of financial data including Wall Street equity research, trade journals, analyst research, conference call transcripts and company documents.[1][8] The company's natural language processing (NLP) technology highlights and labels relevant information.[10]

Companies use the software to monitor competitors and acquisition targets.[5] The software can also be used for large scale number crunching, such as compiling stock buyback data across multiple companies.[11][12] The company's technology also analyzes documents for sentiment, providing a score that traders can use to make investment decisions.[7]
