From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Alpian SA (commercially known as Alpian) is a Swiss digital private bank regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).

History

Alpian was founded in October 2019 as part of an incubation programme by Swiss wealth manager REYL & Cie.[1] In April 2022, the bank secured its FINMA banking licence and announced plans to launch publicly in the third quarter of that year.[2] The public launch occurred in October 2022.[3]

Business development

Between May 2020 and May 2024, Alpian raised successive funding rounds: CHF 12.2 million in Series A (May 2020), CHF 16.9 million in Series B (April 2021), and CHF 19 million in Series B+ (April 2022).[4][5][6] Alpian is majority-controlled by Fideuram – Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking.[7]

Financial performance

In its 2024 financial year, Alpian nearly tripled assets under management to CHF 26.3 million (up from CHF 9.1 million in 2023), but incurred a net loss of CHF 29.4 million, partly due to client acquisition costs of CHF 1.13 million.[8]

Products and services

Alpian provides digital private banking services designed for the mass-affluent segment—clients with liquid assets between CHF 100,000 and CHF 1 million.[2] It offers multi-currency accounts, payments, metal debit cards in partnership with Visa, and in-app video calls with wealth advisors.[3][9] Customer deposits are protected under Swiss deposit insurance up to CHF 100,000.[10]

Technology and innovation

As Switzerland’s first fully cloud-native private bank, Alpian leverages generative AI and Google Cloud infrastructure to speed up development cycles and support regulatory compliance.[11]
