Amar Pandit is an Indian certified financial planner,[1][2] author, and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of My Financial Advisor.[3] He is also the co-founder and CFO of Happydemic,[4][5] and founder of Happyness Factory.[6]

Career[edit]

In 2005, Pandit founded My Financial Advisor [7][8][9] a private wealth management firm based in Mumbai.[9][10] The firm caters to celebrities, corporate executives, business owners and Non Resident Indians.[11]

The firm provides wealth management and family-office oriented solutions.[12] In 2012, My Financial Advisor partnered with ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund to launch Financial Premier League (FPL), an initiative to promote financial awareness among school kids by educating them on the benefits of savings and investments.[13][14] In 2017 it received a Tarraki award by ICICI Prudential and Wealth Forum, as a recognition for its business growth at an industrial level.[15] In 2016, Pandit co-founded the online platform Happydemic with Radhika Mukherji.[16]

On 20 March 2016, Pandit founded Happyness Factory [17] an online goal based financial planning website.[9] The firm has its presence in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.[17]

Film production[edit]

In 2017, Pandit produced Cycle, a Marathi film which went on to be screened at the 2017 Cannes film festival.[18]

Pandit has written finance related analytical columns for publications such as Business standard,[19][20] Money Control,[21] Tribune India,[22] and Complete Well Being.[23] He has written four books on financial planning.[24] His published works include:

  • The Art and Science of Teaching Children about Money[31] (published December 2010)

Personal life[edit]

Pandit graduated from University of Mumbai in 1995.[32] He is a CFA Charter holder from CFA Institute, Virginia, USA, and a certified Electronics Engineer.[32] He began his career by working with Tata Consultancy Services, and then worked with Infrasoft Technologies – a banking and financial software firm.[33] Pandit resides in Mumbai with his wife and 2 daughters.
