Ankita Gaba (Punjabi: ਅੰਕਿਤਾ ਗਾਬਾ, born 4 April 1985) is an Indian businesswoman, internet entrepreneur and co-founder of "Social Samosa".[1]
Early life and education[edit]
Gaba hails from Mumbai, she graduated from Wilson College in Business Management. In 2010, she completed her MBA from the Welingkar Institute of Management.
Career[edit]
Gaba began her professional career in the PR industry in 2008, managing public relations for celebrities and films. In June 2007, she started her first job with Superchooha, one of India's first social media agencies.[2] She has been an initiator in the formation of the Mumbai chapter of the Social Media Club, the social media club is an international NGO working to connect social media experts from around the world. In 2011, it set up SocialSmosa.com, a major source of knowledge repository for ideas, opinions and dialogues about the social media landscape in India.[3] The portal was sold to private investors for 2–3 crores in May 2015.[4]
