He made his directorial debut with Kala Shah Kala in 2018, for which he was also nominated for 'Best Debut Director' of the year in 2019.

His next film, Jhalle, the first Punjabi dark comedy, fared well critically despite its average performance at the box office.

He rose to fame in 2021 with Honsla Rakh, a rom-com starring Diljit Dosanjh, Shehnaz Gill and Sonam Bajwa, which was both critically and financially successful.[1] This streak of success continued with the next two films which he directed, Saunkan Saunkne (2022) and Babe Bhangra Paunde Na (2023),[2][3] both of which were financial successes.

His next film, Ranna Ch Dhanna, and another untitled movie which stars Ammy Virk and Nimrat Khaira, are set to release in 2024.
