Bandi Saroj Kumar is an Indian filmmaker, who has worked predominantly in Tamil and Telugu movies. Bandi Saroj Kumar has worked in popular movies like Asthamanam, Porkkalam and Suryasthamayam. Bandi Saroj's previous film to hit the theatres was Suryasthamayam in the year 2021.
Career[edit]
He completed his studies in Hyderabad and left for Chennai to pursue film-making at a young age. He was able to make his first movie Porkkalam starring Kishore as the lead by 2010. He then made an experimental thriller Asthamanam shot entirely on a digital camera in Tamil. The movie is one among the very first batch of digitally shot feature films in India. After a gap of nearly 8 years, he came back with an action drama Suryasthamayam in Telugu. Suryasthamayam stars himself, Praveen Reddy, Himansee Katragadda, Daniel Balaji and Vamsi with himself and Praveen being the leads. He is a multi-skilled technician and was able to handle 11 crafts for his last movie Suryasthamayam including acting, direction, writing, cinematography and music. He also makes youtube based short films that often deal with the social issue in a bold perspective.
