Amaro Than is a digital platform and mobile application project developed in Kosovo that aims to connect members of Roma communities through social networking, friendship, and dating.[1]

The project includes social networking features, community information tools, and artificial intelligence–assisted services intended to support interaction and information sharing within Roma communities and among people interested in Roma culture.

    History

Amaro Than was organized in 2025 by a founding team including Driton Berisha, Elvis Avdiu, Ardit Berisha, and Rand Engel.[2]

Development of the platform began in Kosovo with the aim of creating an online environment focused on social connection, cultural exchange, and community interaction among Roma users.[3]

    Platform

Amaro Than is designed as a social networking and dating platform intended primarily for Roma communities. The platform allows users to create profiles, communicate with other users, and participate in community-oriented digital spaces.

The project includes several functional components:

    • Networko – a social networking environment where users can share posts and interact with other users.
    • Amalipe+ – a system focused on dating and friendship connections.
    • Ainara – an artificial intelligence–based system intended to assist with communication, recommendations, and other in-platform interactions.

The platform also includes community information features intended to centralize announcements and opportunities related to Roma communities, including cultural events, job opportunities, project calls, and other community activities.
