The Dr.Ambedkar School, Hungary is established in 2007 by Derdák Tibor and Orsós János in a small village called Sajókaza in Hungary to educated Roma people (called "Gypsy") in the surrounding area. Later it moved to the northern city of Hungary Miskolc.
The school was established in 2007 with the support of the Jai Bhim community. Its aim is to provide education to those who cannot afford it.
In 2016, the school relocated to a new facility in Miskolc. The Badur Foundation supported this project.
The Open Society Foundations and the Order of Malta supported the construction of this school, which opened its doors in Skaza in 1999. In the past 13 years, 113 adults have completed their basic education at this school.

The Martin Luther King Dormitory was established in 2018.
The Ministry of Human Resources has decided not to renew the public education contract of Dr. Ambedkar School. It will also not support other educational institutions that serve disadvantaged backgrounds.[1]
