Amber Doig-Thorne[1] (born 25 October 1994)[2] is an English actress and media personality. She is known for her role in film Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023).

Early life

Amber Doig-Thorne was born an only child in York.[2] She spent some of her childhood in New Zealand before returning to York. Doig-Thorne attended the Mount School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Theoretical Physics from University College London.[3][4]

Career

At age 17, Doig-Thorne won Miss Teen York 2012 and was a finalist for Miss Teen Great Britain.[5] Doig-Thorne created a YouTube channel and corresponding Facebook pages in 2016, where she gained prominence through her prank videos and comedy sketches.[3][6] She also became a celebrity interviewer.[7]

In 2022, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey was announced to the public after it was originally meant for a quiet direct-to-video release.[8][9] She stated that she had been a fan of the character since an early age.[10]
