Ambika Hinduja

Ambika Hinduja (born 1978)[1] is the founder and creative director of Impeccable Imagination[2], contemporary art and design firm[3] based in Mumbai and Dubai. [4]

Born in Mumbai, she is the daughter of the youngest Hinduja brother, Ashok Hinduja of the Hinduja Group. She was educated at the London International Film School, and Parsons The New School in NYC. She is married to Entrepreneur Raman Macker.

Ambika has also produced critically acclaimed documentaries and feature films including award-winning film Being Cyrus and Teen Patti (film) which features Amitabh Bachchan and Oscar winner Ben Kingsley in his Indian movie debut.[5]

As part of her mission to promote excellence and mindfulness in art and design, Ambika represents an international roster of esteemed conceptual and visual artists. Works by the artists in representation have been showcased in venerable institutions such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Art and Design in NYC, Centre Pompidou, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, The British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, and The Tsubaki Grand Shrine.

Projects[edit]

Ambika successfully curated Diesel + Art, Mumbai's first projection photography projection exhibition along with celebrity photographer Rohan Shreshta.[6] An upcoming project for Ambika's firm includes The Dabba Luminaire[7], is a light art installation that juxtaposes the utilitarian and the esoteric as a means to explore the interplay between a common, everyday object and the spiritual attributes of light. Another anticipated project, Blue Beet; multi sensory design and gastronomy spaces in Dubai and London that invite participants on an experiential, immersive journey to arrive at a state of equanimity and heightened awareness.
