Ameena Soliman is an American American football scout and executive who is the director of football operations and a pro scout for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). She joined the Eagles in 2018 and became a pro scout in 2021.[1][2]
Early life and education
Soliman is from Yardley, Pennsylvania.[3] She studied finance and marketing at Temple University, where she began helping the football program with operations and recruiting in 2013. She later earned a master's degree in sports business from Temple.[4][1]
Career
Soliman was a football operations and recruiting graduate assistant at Temple in 2017. She subsequently worked as a player personnel assistant at the NFL league office, where her work included player transactions and salary cap matters.[1][4]
She joined the Eagles as a player personnel intern in 2018 and became player personnel coordinator in 2019. The Eagles promoted her to pro scout in 2021. At the time, she was believed to be the first Muslim woman to hold a full-time scouting position in the NFL.[1][5] Her scouting duties have included evaluating upcoming opponents and players available through free agency, trades and waivers.[4]
In 2020, Soliman received a grant from the Women's Sports Foundation's Scott Pioli & Family Fund for Women Football Coaches and Scouts.[6] She and Eagles executive Catherine Raîche also founded NFL Women in Football Operations, a networking group for women working in football operations across the league.[5]
Soliman became the Eagles' director of personnel operations in 2022 while continuing as a pro scout. In 2024, she was named director of football operations and pro scout.[1] At the 2025 NFL Women's Forum, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni credited a statistic Soliman had identified about an opponent with shaping his preparation for a game during the team's 2024 season.[3]
