American Conjuring also knows as Bind, is a 2016 Canadian supernatural horror film directed by Dan Walton and Dan Zachary and written by Ken King and Dan Walton. Chloe Bear, Lynn Csontos and Natasha Davidson star as Chloe, Carol and Hester Corbett. A family moves into an abandoned orphanage and they soon learn that their charming orphanage has a disturbing history and are convinced they aren't alone.[1][2][3][4][5]
Plot[edit]
The film begins with a prologue shows that in 2004 at the Carrington orphanage where one of the young girls, Chole, is having a birthday party. Unfortunately the others bully her and dare her to go down into the supposedly haunted basement. Whilst down there she sees a scary old woman who is a evil spirit. Chole slaughter her friends after being possessed by the evil spirit.
Later on, Ben (Darren Matheson) moves his wife Carol (Lynn Csontos), his young daughter Alyssa (Eliza Faria), and his teenage stepdaughter Zoe (Mackenzie Mowat) to an abandoned orphanage. Soon they feel the presence of someone else and realizes that they aren't alone.

Production[edit]
The film was originally called "Bind" but the distributors changed the name to American Conjuring. It wasn't the creators decision to change the name.
Reception[edit]
The film got ratings of 2.4/10 on IMDb[6] and 5.1/10 on Letterboxd.[7]
