Amerind metal (also commonly known as Native American metal, Indian metal, or other derivatives, see Native American name controversy) is an underground fusion subgenre of metal music (namely Folk metal). It combines aspects of Native American music and languages with Heavy metal, Black metal, or Death metal. Common themes in Amerind metal are indigenous beliefs and Native American genocide by the United States.
