Amir Yaghar (Persian: امیر یغار‎) with the artistic name of Amir Ugo (Persian: امیر یوگو‎)[1], is one of the Iranian rapper, songwriter, producer.[2] Amir Ugo started working in 2009 and published his works with his Instagram page and some media and gradually gained recognition among young singers[3]. In 2020, Ugo released his first album, "4 ta A", and also began his career with "Paradise Band”.[2]

His idea about music is: what you’ve got is a roller coaster ride of musical musings.[4]

Early life

Amir Ugo was born on March 21, 2003[1], in Tehran and is the son of a family of four. He lived in Dubai until he was two years old and then lived in the Velenjak neighborhood of Tehran. His father is from Abadan.

In his early years, Amir was known for his phenomenal music making and a music label called Paradise. Around 2019, he started his music career in Velenjak participating in Persian free-styling with people who also covered some English language songs in Rap battles. Amir gained attention when he began rapping in Persian for the younger generation in Iran. Amir's early releases combined RnB instruments and urban beats to create a hybrid genre, a combination of east and west.[1] Amir Ugo’s first song was called “Door az dastat”.[1]
