Amitabh Varma is an Indian film director and writer.[1] Varma has directed the series Teen Do Paanch and has also written for Irudhi Suttru and My Brother Nikhil. Amitabh Verma wrote songs for many Bollywood movies including All is Well, PK[2], Bhaag Johnny, Yours Truly, I Am, Mr. Mrs. Mehta, Final Decision, Dhol, Life in Metro, Risk and many more.[3]

The short film Bholi, directed by Verma, has been awarded 3 international awards.[4]

Personal Life[edit]

Amitabh Varma was born on 13 October 1968 in Deoghar district of Jharkhand, he completed his film studies from the Film and Television Institute of India and stepped into the Bollywood industry in 1996.[5] Amitabh's wife Shruti Anindita Varma[6] is also a film writer and director, they were married in 1999.[7] Anurag Kashyap[8] was a friend of Amitabh Verma while studying in FTTI and he also wrote a song on Anurag's insistence.[9]
