Ammarsjah (born 18 March 1965) is an Indonesian businessman who serving as commissioner at PT Petrokimia Gresik from 12 June 2021.
Early life[edit]
Ammarsjah was born on 18 March 1965 in Medan, North Sumatra, as the child and son of Mesra Sjahbuddin.[1] He went to Bandung Institute of Technology, majoring in electrical engineering and graduated in 1989, followed by National Institute of Science and Technology and graduated in 1998, and earned his master's degree from University of Indonesia majoring in public policy program, in 2011.[1]
Personal life[edit]
Ammarsjah was married to Daniek Rosliana, in Serpong, on 16 July 2004.[2] They had a son, Akasha Naryama Isa (b. 13 June 2009), and a daughter, Akeyla Nareswari Isa (b. 15 June 2005).[2] Their marriage lasted until they divorced on 21 November 2017, due to his cruelty and abusive behavior.[2]
Career[edit]
Ammarsjah started his career as Special Staff to the Minister at Ministry of Transportation in 2009, followed by served as a main director at PT Cempaka Reka Cipta from 2012 until 2016.[1] He later served as commissioner at PT Pupuk Kujang from 2016 until 2021.[1]
On 12 June 2021, Ammarsjah was appointed as the independent commissioner at PT Petrokimia Gresik.[1]
In 2023, Ammarsjah served as deputy chairman of the Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD national winning team and defending Melki Sedek Huang, whose parents received threats from the authorities.[3]
