Amrit Pal Singh is a New Delhi-based Indian digital and visual artist,[1] creative director, and 3D illustrator.[2] His 3D character portrait series, Toy Faces, which he started creating in 2020, was sold for over a million dollars as NFTs on Foundation, bringing him into the limelight.[3] His notable 3D illustrations from the Toy Face series include Frida Kahllo, Daft Punk duo, MF Hussian, etc.[4] In 2023, Amrit showcased his 3D collection as a part of solo exhibitions in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru.[5][6]
Art Exhibitions[edit]
Amrit Pal’s first solo art show, Toy Face Tour, was held at Chattarpur Farms, in Delhi, in 2023.[7] It featured toy face artwork of pop culture icons such as Frida Kahlo, Charlie Chaplin, and Godfather. According to Singh, his series is based on nostalgia of his being impressed & inspired by iconic artists of his childhood. The show was held in an official association with MF Husain Estate. This tour marked the completion of Singh’s 100th NFT,[8] modeled on the late MF Husain whom Amrit Pal considers his inspiration for getting into the art field. In July 2023, Singh took his Toy Face tour to Bengaluru.[9] The artwork was displayed in a resto-bar Church Street Social from July 7 to 23. Among the newly added Toy Faces, Pal designed a portrait modeled on Amrita Sher Gill whom he considers an inspiration for his creations.[10]
