Amy Linton (aka A V Linton) is an artist, musician and desigerner currently living in southern California. They founded and wrote songs for the SF Bay Area band Henrys dress, a noise and pop band that combined the pop song structure of The Who with the noise of other current bands including Unsane, Halo of Flies and My Bloody Valentine. After the break up of Henry's Dress Linton began a music project named The Aislers Set. After recording the entire record alone on in their garage on an analog 8 track they soon met the people who would later become the band and record two more albums. During this time they also formed the band Go Sailor with friends Rose Melberg and Paul Curran. It was a short lived band but continues to rise in popularity due to the bands songs being included on the soudtrack for the film But I'm A Cheerleader. Though the Aislers set broke up in 2003 they continue to reunite ocassionally for events such as festivals or benefit shows. Amy Linton's artistic and design work post 2003 is not easily accessible or serchable online as they changed their name to A Linton or AV Linton in 2003. Linton currently works in interior and residential architectural design, makes art and furniture, and occasionally teaches at California Insitute of the Arts.
