Ana Daniela Hernández Garcia (born 7 September 1999) is a Honduran businesswoman, young politician, and influencer. She is the daughter of the former President of Honduras Juan Orlando Hernández and the former first lady Ana García Carías for the National Party of Honduras.
Biography
Hernandez was born into a wealthy family in Tegucigalpa on 7 September 1999. Her father was an convicted president Juan Orlando Hernandez and the lawyer Ana García Carías. In 2016, she graduated from the Elvel Bilingual Institute.[1] She has three siblings.
She completed her university studies in Business administration at the Faculty of business of the National Chengchi University, where she graduated in 2021, but soon returned to Honduras in 2022 and practiced and worked in the Marketing area.
Following her father's conviction for drug trafficking in the United States in 2024, her mother Ana García Carías and Ana Daniela announced that she would run for President of Honduras in the 2025 elections and seek a nomination from the National Party.[2] In an interview with the Associated Press, she denied that her decision to run was an attempt to protect herself from prosecution, but that it was done to highlight the injustice done to her husband and an attempt to defend Honduras' image.[3]
