Analysys Mason is a global consultancy and research firm headquartered in Aldwych, London.[2][3] The firm is known for providing tailored services to telecoms, media and technology sectors.[4][5][6][7] The company is owned and operated by Datatec group.[8][9] In 2020, the company was nominated by Clients and Peers as one of the UK's leading management consultants.[10]

Foundation and services[edit]

Analysys Mason was founded in 2004, the company was formed by the merger of Analysys Ltd and Mason Communications.[11] Analysys Ltd was founded in 1985 in Cambridge[12] and Mason Communications was founded in 1993 in Manchester by David Mason.[2]

Initially, Analysys Mason provided policy consultancy and regulatory advice to Ofcom.[13] Subsequently, they expanded their consultancy to support strategy, business planning and due diligence within the TMT sector.[14][15] In 2017, they conduct a research study for Huawei "Digitalization reshaping operations: a new digital operational model forthe future".[16] According to ITWeb, the company saw revenue increase almost 9% from $42 million in 2018 to $45.7 million in the 2019 financial year.[17]

In 2019 and 2020, the company was shortlisted as TMT Commercial Due Diligence Provider of the Year.[18]
