Anat Vidor

Anat Vidor is an Israeli public activist and the current president of World WIZO, a global Jewish women's organization. She also serves on the executive boards of the World Jewish Congress and the World Zionist Organization.
Early life and education
Vidor was born in South Africa to Israeli parents who were serving on a Zionist mission.[citation needed] She is a descendant of Dr. Menachem Stein, a physician and early Jewish settler in pre-state Israel.[citation needed] After completing her service in the Israel Defense Forces, she was appointed as a community emissary to Australia by the Jewish Agency for Israel.[1]
She holds a bachelor's degree in archaeology and the history of the Land of Israel from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a master's degree in marketing and public relations from the University of Sydney.[citation needed]
Career
Vidor began her career in Israel as a spokesperson for a heritage preservation organization. While living in Australia, she lectured on Jewish history and the Arab-Israeli conflict at the University of Sydney's Melton Centre for Jewish Education.[citation needed]
Her involvement with WIZO began in Australia, where she served as a local branch director and later as president of WIZO New South Wales.[2] During her tenure, she led public engagement and organized high-profile cultural events.[3] After returning to Israel in 2018, she joined the executive leadership of World WIZO. In January 2024, she was elected the organization’s eighth president.[4][5]
Since the October 7 attacks, Vidor has led international advocacy efforts to support Israeli civil society and raise awareness about antisemitism. She has spoken at public gatherings, met with Jewish communities abroad, and represented WIZO and the World Jewish Congress at global forums, including the United Nations.[6][7]
Vidor is also a regular contributor to public discourse on antisemitism, Jewish identity, and diaspora-Israel relations. Her opinion pieces have been published in international media outlets.[8][9][10]
Personal life
Vidor is married to Gary Vidor. She has two children, Rafaela and social media personality Yochanan Twina.[citation needed]
