Ancient Love Poetry (Chinese: 千古玦尘; pinyin: Qian Gu Jue Chen) is a 2021 Chinese Xianxia (genre) television series based on the fantasy novel Shang Gu by Xing Ling (author).[1] It premiered on WeTv on June 17th, 2021 [2], and climbed to top of VLinkage and 9700 on Mao Yan index within 4 days, while generating over 2.5 billion views and 1.5 million discussions on Weibo Topics. [3] It stars Chinese actors Zhou Dongyu as Shang Gu/Hou Chi and Xu Kai as Bai Jue / Qing Mu / Bo Xuan.[4]
Plot[edit]
The catastrophe of Chaos returned from the rebirth of Ancestral God Shang Gu. Not letting Shang Gu to be sacrificed again, Bai Jue decided to cultivate the same immortal power of Hundun as Shang Gu, and not wanting her to be hurt, acted cold-hearted to her so she can forget him. In the end, Bai Jue sacrificed himself instead of Shang Gu. After losing her love, Shang Gu realized everything Bai Jue has done for her. Devastated, she spend the rest of her life looking for Bai Jue in the Three Realms.
