André Simoneau (born c. 1986) is a Canadian award-winning actor, writer and director whose career spans over twenty years in film, television and theatre.
Biography[edit]
Simoneau began his career in theatre at the age of 10, starring as the lead in Echo Art's production of Pinnocchio at Theatre Lac Brome in 1996. He continued his acting training in Dawson College's Professional Theatre (DOME) program in 2003, where he received the Willie and Beryl Moser award for outstanding acting ability. In 2005 he landed the job of host for YTV's hit reality series Prank Patrol, which ran for four seasons and 100 episodes. He received a Gemini nomination in 2008 for his hosting work on the show, and went on to write and direct several episodes in the 3rd and 4th seasons. In the meantime, Simoneau has continued to work in the theatre, notably in Fallen Angel's productions of Monster in 2006 and A Lie of the Mind in 2008.[1]
Also in 2015, Simoneau directed and co-produced the romantic comedy web-series Blank Paige, starring Kaniehtiio Horn.[2]
