Early life

Loewe is the son of Anabel Rago and Horst Loewe. His father, Horst Loewe, is a German entrepreneur, inventor and naval engineer, his mother Anabel Rago is from the Philippines, who worked as a model. He has two younger brothers, Marc and Olaf, and a younger sister, Arlene. At the age of 6, after his parents’ divorce in 1993, Loewe lived most of the time with his mother on the island of Fehmarn.

Since his childhood, Loewe loves to read and enjoys spending his time outdoors in nature. At the age of 24, he established iShare, a digital platform where neighbors could share their belongings such as food and other objects.

Education

In 2008, Loewe signed up for the German Armed Forces, which required a commitment to twelve years of duty. In 2012 he began his training in the combat swimmer company in Eckernförde. After 2.5 years he got borreliosis/meningitis caused by several tick bites. He became incapacitated, which is why he left the military prematurely.[1]

Career / Entrepreneurial activities

Loewe started his career as a freelance financial journalist at Finanzwelt and Intelligent Investors magazine. He also manages a €900 million purchase mandate out of a total volume of €625 billion to be invested in the acquisition of solar and wind energy parks in the EU (2020).[2]

In addition, Loewe organised the Global Philanthropic Leaders Meeting, which takes place twice a year at a location not accessible to the public. The closed circle includes influential people from business, politics, media, universities and high nobility. It is impartial and not bound by any political or national interests. The mission of the GPLC is "committed to improving the state of the world”. The name of the meeting was changed, which is still not known today.[3]

Process

The Global Philanthropic Leaders Conferences, which are usually held in high-class hotels, usually last three days. They focus on issues related to the world economy and international relations in order to discuss current global issues. In addition to economic and social policy, they include issues of health and environmental policy.[4]

Funding

According to the conference itself, the expenses for the secretariat of the Global Philanthropic Leaders Conference are fully covered by private funds. The costs for travelling to the conference are to be borne by the participants themselves.[5]

Awards

In 2009, Loewe completed the 200 km Nijmegen March in 4 days. Shortly afterwards he mastered the 100 km Dodentocht Bornem in 24 hours.[6]
