Andrei Popescu (born May 30, 1985) is a Romanian entrepreneur and the CEO at SCX Holdings (Singapore).[1][2] He is known in the cryptocurrency and blockchain community in Romania and Singapore.[3][4]
Andrei Popescu is best known for his vast experience in the financial digital assets and blockchain industry. He has over a decade of experience in actively working on expanding the new digital economy and bringing forth new-age investment. Popescu specializes in Strategic Investments in Disruptive Technologies & Innovations, DLT, Crypto Asset Trading Systems, Digital Markets & Trading Platforms, Data Capital, Artificial Intelligence Applications, AI-based Automated Trading Strategies, Business Strategy Implementations via AI systems.
Andrei Popescu is recognized for his active participation in the FinTech sphere, Crypto & Alternative Assets Class Ecosystems, and the Blockchain/DLT communities across Southeast Asia, Europe, and the USA.

Born in Craiova, Romania, Andrei Popescu studied in Carol I National College and received a High School Graduation Diploma from 2000 – 2004. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from University of Craiova (Universitatea din Craiova) (2007). He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Business Management and Management (2008) as well as a Master’s degree in Business Management (2010) from the same university.
Andrei Popescu started his doctoral studies in 2020 in the field of Finance.
Career[edit]
Since 2006 Andrei Popescu occupies the position of Non Executive Director at WSX Ventures LLC in Romania. He was Managing Partner at Baris Futures LLC Romania throughout 2010-2012.[5]
In 2013 and 2014 Andrei Popescu worked as Business Development Manager in AURIC PACIFIC GROUP LIMITED. Between 2014 and 2016, he was Head Of Business Development at Sollers Consulting, Singapore.[6]
From August 2016 till December 2017, Andrei Popescu served as the Chief Strategy Officer at Exulto Consulting. In November 2016 he became the CEO of COSS VENTURES, a platform offering cryptocurrency-related services.[7][8]
In 2017, Andrei Popescu co-founded COSS, a platform offering all features of a digital economical system based on cryptocurrencies. It offers a vast range of services including exchanges, payrolls, wallets, acquisitions, and transactions.
In 2018, Andrei Popescu started working as a blockchain expert at GLG, GlobalWonks, and OnFrontiers, firms offering finance and fintech solutions. Andrei Popescu co-founded SCX Holdings in the same year. It is an Alternative Asset Management Co & an Investment and Intellectual Property Holding Company.
In 2019, Andrei Popescu was appointed as the Global Strategy Director at SP Virgo Holdings, a holding company operating in the Oil and Gas, Marine, Construction, Civil Engineering, and Logistics market sectors.
Apart from this, Andrei Popescu is also a renowned keynote speaker and has addressed various platforms on the topics of FinTech, Financial Innovations, and Blockchain including Singapore FinTech Festival, BlockShow Asia 2018, Hong Kong Fintech Week, Guangzhou International Innovation Festival, and several others.
Andrei is a member of Singapore Fintech Association (SFA), ACCESS (the Singapore Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Industry Association ), Global Blockchain Network and WSX Ventures Group.[9] He is a Member of Bitcoin Foundation and TiE (an ecosystem for entrepreneurs) since 2016. [10] He is also a Founding Member and Vice President of ACCESS Romania (The FinTech, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Association of Romania)[11]
