Andrew Duplessie is an American actor and entrepreneur. He is best known as the co-founder and CEO of Tipster, a mobile app connecting users with personal stylists. Duplessie acted in several films and series, most notably American Horror Story.[1][2]
Life and career[edit]
Duplessie obtained his Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Finance and Math from the Tulane University, where he was the Student Government President of the Freeman School of Business. He founded the Tulane Hedge Fund Club and the Tulane Hedge Fund and Debt Management Strategies Club.[3][4][5]
He acted in several films and TV series. In the episode Monsters Among Us of the fourth season of the television series American Horror Story in 2014, Duplessie and Skyler Samuels played a couple.[1] Subsequently, Duplessie and Samuels decided to start a business together, and conceptualized and developed a mobile app during the next two years.[6]
Together with Daniel Taylor, they launched Tipster app in 2016. It is a free app where users have access to a thousand professional stylists who can advise them on what to wear. Duplessie is the CEO of the enterprise.[2][7][8] He developed Tipster as a founder in StartX, the Stanford University business incubator.[9] He is also Entrepreneur in Residence at Science Inc.[10]
